Some things never change, and the same goes with strollers on the transit system! I write these posts with a little giggle but also with a whole lot of truth. The first thing I must say is that sometimes I really think that people believe that those of us who must take the transit system with our strollers enjoy doing it. Well that is not the case for me anyway. As much as it is inconvenient for some of the other riders, multiply that by 1000 and that is how I feel. I try and us my carrier as much as possible but when you have a child and now in my case 2, sometimes you need a place to put things and having a stroller is the way to go sometimes. read more…
There are many things in life we do in order to please other people even though it may not be exactly what we want. I find this also holds true at times when it comes to the way we look. As a business owner and a busy mom of 2 I have realized lately the importance of doing things for me when I get the chance! This can be something as simple as putting on a lipstick that I feel great in or wearing an outfit that makes me feel good…the part that can be the hardest sometimes for many people is not worrying about what other people may think. There are times when we want to do things to please the people around us and as important as that is, it will never fully work if you don’t put yourself and your feelings about yourself first! read more…

The good news is that if you did happen to loose a little control and want to get rid of some extra pounds that may have crept on over the holidays or your just ready to make that lifestyle change altogether then the 8 Week Weight Loss Nutrition Challenge is here! read more…
This is such a common question that people ask me. Through my personal fitness and health journey as well as working with many different clients I have come to realize that there are a few different ways I can answer this question and depending on the person asking I choose which would be the best for them!
When it comes to weight loss, it is a journey that takes dedication, hard work, and patience. In the big picture I think the answer is that you have to find something you really enjoy doing. So if running is the best way to burn calories and tone up the body (which I must say is a great form of cardio when it comes to weight loss) but you hate doing it, then you won’t. If you like to swim than find a professional that can put together a swimming cardio program that will benefit your goals as much as possible so you will continue doing it. Weight loss is as much a mental game as a physical one, so if your doing exercise just to do it or if you have to drag yourself to get there every time, it will not last and then you will feel as if you have failed. It does no have to be that way if you start out in the right direction.
In saying that I must also say that sometimes there will be things you can add to make the most of your hard work. Strength training is one of these things. Cardio exercise is great for fat loss but what happens after you loose the fat? There is no foundation for your body to reshape it self. This is why strength training is so important when it comes to loosing weight. The more muscle we have the more calories we will burn when we are resting. Also you will be creating a new shape so that when your loose the fat you have a toned or more muscular physique (depending what you like) waiting to be revealed! So why not start a plan today that can help you reach your weight loss goals and enjoy doing it!! Happy Training

Well as the title says I am still in training for that fitness competition May 28!!! Yes that means only 14 weeks!!!! After battling a few injuries to date I have worked through them and am almost completely back on track. 14 weeks really isn’t a lot of time yet it is still a fair amount!! Things seem to be on track, still lots of work ahead of me but there have been many positive changes in the right direction which is toward the stage and those 5″ heels…lol Oh yes, the heels! I guess I better get those babies out and start practicing, from what I remember it’s not easy standing and walking in those things for very long so the more practise the better! read more…
Many times people begin training be it for the first time or for a specific event. In many cases when your training volume is increased their is a chance for some set backs be it in your mind or physically in your body. read more…
